"Of course I can tell you everything that's going to happen on series five of Downton Abbey, but I'm going to have to shoot you directly after telling you."
This was the answer the Dubliner gave when asked about the upcoming series of the hit costume drama at the CRY lunch, a charity event supproting those with Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. The charity has particular resonance with Allen Leech as it was set up to commemorate his late school friend Peter Greene who died from it when he was 16.
Peter Greene and Allen Leech attended St. Michaels College in Ballsbridge together and Leech remembers the strong character of Greene as well as how devastated their school was when he died.
Leech spoke about how Greene still plays a significant part in his life: "Anytime I walk out on stage, before I go out, I always look up and as Peter to give me a hand, Peter and Brian Mahoney, who was a teacher at our school.
Leech did also give a few hints about the upcoming series saying that the house will be "trying to battle against the modernisation of society and how the class system is slowly deteriorating."
