James Franco really gets around, starring in movies like The Interview and writing and directing his own projects seemingly every other week. And now he's heading to TV as well.
That's not exactly accurate, Franco has been confirmed to star in a new show which will debut on the Hulu streaming service. And it's very high profile, coming from the Stephen King novel 11/22/63 and set up with JJ Abrams' production company Bad Robot.
The book was about a teacher who travels through a time portal in an attempt to stop the assassination of JFK - the date of his death is the title of the story. In the show, Franco will play the teacher Jake Epping and will attempt to step bak and change history, but things won't be that simple.
Franco will also produce the 9 episode run which will be written by Friday Night Lights scribe Bridget Carpenter. There's no release date yet but with a big name like Franco's attached, expect this to happen quickly.
