Love/Hate is Back and it Brought in Almost One Million Viewers!

Since it kicked off in October 2010, Love/Hate has become one of the biggest cultural events of the yearly TV calendar.

The Dublin-set crime drama has featured actors like Aidan Gillen and Robert Sheehan, and also helped to launch the career of Killian Scott. Season 4 ended almost a year ago and the six episodes of season 5 will be followed by a fifth season set to air in 2015.

Last night's episode was watched by a staggering 976,400 people in Ireland, giving it an audience share of over 56%. It's also in increase on the viewers for last year's season premiere, which saw 971,000 tuning in. And these figures likely don't include those watching on the RTE Player, where the show was available at the same time it was being broadcast.

Love/Hate Season 5 continues on Sundays from 9.30pm on RTE One.
